Don’t be talkin’ ‘bout my Mama!  LOL.  Shout out to all the Mama’s out there.  Our Mama’s are awesome, but if you were born after a certain decade, your Mama didn’t know anything about this.  It’s a brand-new world.  “Please” and “Thank you” are still very necessary, but to navigate today’s society you’re going to need an updated etiquette book. Here are a few tips to elevate your Queen behavior.

1.    Cell Phone Etiquette (Queen, this could be a book. We’ll keep it short and sweet 😊)

·       When you’re enjoying a meal; put the phone down, turn off the ringer and enjoy the experience.

·       When you’re having a face to face conversation with someone; don’t take selfies.  (I’m guilty of this vulgar behavior ☹.  So sorry)

·       When you’re traveling in a car with others; do not carry on cell phone conversations.  If it’s important, make it short and apologize to your fellow travelers.

·       When you’re traveling on public transportation, the above rule applies.

·       Don’t engage in multiple conversations at the same time.  Sounds crazy, but I’ve seen this.

·       Don’t add a person to group messaging without their permission.  If this is unavoidable, request all replies be directed to you privately.

·       Don’t share another person’s cell phone # without their permission.

·       Block, block, block.  If someone is calling/texting you to nauseum, stop complaining and block them.

·       Some people can’t afford iPhones.  Don’t shame android users. 

2.    Social Media

·       Don’t stalk. Don’t harass.  Mind your own business.

·       Don’t post pictures of others without their permission.

·       Think twice before posting anything risqué.  The internet is forever. 

·       If you steal a meme, at least ‘like’ the original post.

·       If you copy someone’s intellectual property (post) without their permission, at least give them credit for their words.

·       Don’t make a dozen consecutive posts.  This is annoying.  If you have a lot of pictures, make a collage.

·       Don’t lie about your life.  People actually know you.  Remember, nobody is posting the bad stuff.  Don’t try to keep up.

·       Social media posts are fair game.  If you don’t want people talking about it, don’t post it.  It’s their business now.

·       Attention seeking bait posts are sad and annoying. Don’t post, “I’m soooo mad!” without an explanation. 

3.    Dating

·       We’re living in a ‘smash’ culture.  If that’s all you want;  do you.  If you really want more, wait for what you deserve.

·       2020 men love to text, “WYD?”.  If you’re looking for a relationship, wait for the guy who will call you and have a real conversation.

·       NEVER send nudes.  At least not with your face attached.  😊

·       If you’re posting yourself with some dude on social media, but the dude never posts you – Something is wrong.

·       Catfishing is bad. Don’t be a catfish.
